Ringtones
Most phones that can receive an MMS (multimedia message) can receive a ringtone from our service. Please consult your phone manual and carrier before ordering content from our website.
iPhone users: MMS is not supported at this time, so you cannot receive our content on your phone. Click the link after you order your ringtone to manually download it to your computer and import it to iTunes, where can you sync it with your phone.
Video Ringtones
Your phone must be able to receive an MMS (multimedia message) and explicitly support video ringtones to have our videos play on incoming calls. Please consult your phone manual and carrier before ordering content from our website.
iPhone users: MMS is not supported at this time, so you cannot receive our content on your phone. The iPhone does not support video ringtones.
Mobile Video Cards
Your friend's phone must be able to receive an MMS (multimedia message).
To send a mobile video card to an iPhone, you must check the "Send to iPhone" box. Apple's iPhone does not support multimedia messaging, but will in late summer. See this link for more information.
Carriers
Supported carriers include Alltel, AT&T (Cingular), Boost, Verizon, Virgin, US Cellular, Sprint, T-Mobile, Sprint (Nextel), Centennial US, Cricket, Cellular South, Suncom, and MetroPCS.
If your carrier is not listed, your phone may still work with our service if you have a data plan and can access the internet on your mobile device. You will receive a URL on your phone that you must visit to download content to your phone. Contact us if your carrier is not listed or you do not receive anything when sending our content to your mobile device. Please include your phone type and carrier.
What are Silly Sound Bytes?
Silly Sound Bytes are silly animated characters - each with its own unique personality and message - that are fun to display and share on e-mail, websites, and mobile phones. Every Silly Sound Byte character comes in several forms:

What are Avatars and Icons?
These are graphic images you can add to your website, profile page or blog, or use as a signature on message boards, email and IM. Pick the size image you want from our selection and copy and paste the appropriate code to your desired destination.
What are Silly Sound Byte ring tones?
You can send the "sound" from any Silly Sound Byte directly to your mobile phone and save it as a fun, cool ring tone and hear it any time your phone rings.
What are Silly Sound Byte video tones?
These are complete video files that you can see and hear on your mobile phone any time it rings. A mobile handset that can accept and playback video is required.
How do I turn these files into ringtones and videotones?
The Silly Sound Byte files can be saved to your mobile phone. Refer to your phone's instruction manual to learn how to make a saved file into a ringtone or videotone.
What's an e-mail video card?
Silly Sound Byte e-mail cards are personalized greetings you can e-mail to anyone. The recipient will get an e-mail message from you with a link to their card. When they open the link, they'll see the Silly Sound Byte video you chose along with your personal greeting.
What's a mobile video card?
Silly Sound Byte mobile cards are personalized greetings you can send right from our site to someone's cell phone. The recipient will get a text message from you with a link to their card. When they open the link, they'll see the Silly Sound Byte video you chose along with your personal greeting.
What type of mobile phone plan do I need to download ringtones, videotones and mobile video cards?
There are no special mobile plan requirements to download Silly Sound Byte content. However, a data plan is recommended. You will receive a link to a web page to download a video tone or mobile video card, so if you don't have a data plan, additional data carrier charges may apply.
Can I send Silly Sound Bytes to my friends in other countries?
Unfortunately, at this time Silly Sound Bytes can only be used in the United States.
I am receiving a "413" error. What does this mean?
The Silly Sound Byte you are trying to download is too large for your phone. Consult your phone's manual or wireless carrier to find out how to increase your download settings. You can also download the ringtone from the Silly Sound Byte website to your computer and consult your phone's manual on how to transfer it to your phone manually.
I can see the video playing but do not have any sound. What can I do?
On some phones, the video player volume is different than the phone volume. Be sure both volumes are turned up.
What kind of phone plan do I need to have use SillySoundBytes?
You need to be on a data plan. Silly Sound Bytes are uploaded and downloaded with a data connection. The better your connection and your plan, the better the application works.
How do I change my password?
You must be logged in to change your password. Once logged in, select My Account from the Main Menu. You account information will be displayed. Click on Change Password and type your new password in the form field. You will be asked to confirm your new password. Then click on SUBMIT and your new password will be effective.
I forgot my password. What Shall I do?
Next to the field "Your Password" you'll see a link "(forgot?)", click that and enter your email address. Your password will be emailed to you.
I can't click on the link sent to my phone. What do I do?
If you received a link on your phone, it means your carrier was not in our supported carrier list. But, you can still download our content if you have a data plan. Silly Sound Bytes are uploaded and downloaded with a data connection. Here are some tips:
The URL will be automatically highlighted. Just click it.
Open the Options menu using the soft-key and look the "Open link," "Go to" or "Use Details" option.
Open the phone's web browser and enter the URL that was sent in the SMS message.
Open your computer's web browser and enter the address that was sent to you in the SMS message. You will be able to directly download this to your computer. Consult your mobile phone manual on how to transfer the file to your phone.
